3. Preparation and Storage

Formulation: Sterile liquid, in PBS, pH7.4

Storage: Hirudin is stable for more than 6 months from date of receipt at -70℃ to -20℃. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

4. Description:

Hirudin has a strong inhibitory effect on thrombin. It is the strongest natural specific inhibitor of thrombin found so far. It can effectively resist coagulation and thrombosis, and prevent further blood stasis such as thrombin catalyzed coagulation factor activation and platelet reaction. In addition, it can inhibit the proliferation of fibroblasts induced by thrombin and the stimulation of endothelial cells by thrombin. Compared with heparin, it is not only less, does not cause bleeding, but also does not depend on endogenous cofactors.
